PENGARUH PENGGUNAAN MODEL PROBLEM BASED LEARNING TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR PESERTA DIDIK PADA PELAJARAN IPS KELAS VII DI SMP N 6 SEMARANG

Abstract

Permasalahan rendahnya hasil belajar peserta didik pada mata pelajaran IPS di SMP N 6 Semarang. Hal ini terjadi karena proses penyampaian materi yang berpusat pada guru (teacher centered) tanpa melibatkan peserta didik sehingga pembelajaran menjadi tidak bermakna dan pembelajaran menjadi kurang menarik. Peneliti memilih model Problem Based Learning sebagai upaya peningkatan hasil belajar. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah quasi eksperimen dengan teknik pengambilan sampel purposive sampling. Hasil penelitian berdasarkan penerapan model problem based learning dapat dikatakan meningkat dan lebih baik. Hal ini dapat dibuktikan dengan nilai rata-rata posttest kelas eksperimen yaitu 87,06 lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan nilai rata-rata posttest kelas kontrol yaitu 64,53. Berdasarkan dari hasil perhitungan uji t posttest diperoleh t hitung 7.919 dan t tabel 2,000. Karena t hitung > t tabel yaitu 7.919 > 2,00 dan nilai signifikansi yang diperoleh yaitu 0,000 < 0,05, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima.

The problem is the low learning outcomes of students in social studies subjects at SMP N 6 Semarang. This happens because the process of delivering teacher-centered material without involving students so that learning becomes meaningless and learning becomes less interesting. Researchers chose the Problem Based Learning model as an effort to increase learning outcomes. The type of research used is quasi-experimental with purposive sampling technique. The research results based on the application of the problem based learning model can be said to be improved and better. This can be proven by the posttest average score of the experimental class, which is 87.06, which is higher than the posttest average value of the control class, which is 64.53. Based on the results of the posttest t test calculations, it was obtained t count 7,919 and t table 2,000. Because t count > t table is 7,919 > 2.00 and the significance value obtained is 0.000 <0.05. So it can be concluded that H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted.
