KENDALA PEMBELAJARAN IPS PADA SISWA KELAS XI SMALB TUNARUNGU DI SLB NEGERI SEMARANG TAHUN AJARAN 2011/2012

Abstract
Semua anak berhak mendapatkan pendidikan, termasuk juga anak berkebutuhan khusus (ABK). Anak tunarungu merupakan bagian integral dari anak berkebutuhan khusus. Anak tunarungu adalah anak yang mengalami kehilangan kemampuan pendengaran yang disebabkan kerusakan pada sebagian atau seluruh organ pendengaran sehingga dalam proses pembelajaran, informasi yang diberikan guru sering dimaknai salah. Agar para penyandang tunarungu dapat bersosialisasi dan mengembangkan kemampuan intelektualnya maka pemerintah maupun swasta mengadakan layanan pendidikan khusus. Dari upaya-upaya pemberian layanan pendidikan khusus tersebut maka para penyandang tunarungu dapat memperoleh pelajaran-pelajaran yang mereka butuhkan dalam bersosialisasi dengan masyarakat maupun keahlian-keahlian yang akan membawa masa depan mereka. Misalnya saja mata pelajaran IPS memberikan mereka pengetahuan tentang kondisi masyarakat dan lingkunganya, begitu juga dengan mata pelajaran lain yang mempunyai kegunaan masing-masing. Permasalahan dari penelitian ini adalah apakah kendala dalam proses pembelajaran IPS pada siswa tunarungu, sedangkan tujuannya yaitu untuk mengetahui kendala dalam proses pembelajaran IPS pada siswa tunarungu.
Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara umum kendala yang dihadapi dalam perencanaan pembelajaran adalah kemampuan siswa yang berbeda-beda, kesulitan dalam mencari sumber dan bahan ajar, serta dengan sistem guru kelas menyebabkan guru kurang fokus dalam membuat perencanaan. Sedangkan, kendala dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran adalah konsep kata siswa yang kurang baik, kurangnya sumber-sumber belajar dan alat peraga, proses pemahaman kata yang tidak merata sehingga butuh media untuk memvisualisasikan materi dan kendala dalam pelaksanaan evaluasi adalah waktu pembelajaran relatif pendek, kurangnya sarana penunjang dan kurangnya konsep kata yang dimiliki siswa.
All children are entitled to education, including children with special needs. Children with hearing impairment is an integral part of children with special needs. Deaf child is a child who has lost hearing ability due to damage to some or all of the organ of hearing so that the learning process, the information provided is often interpreted as false teachers. So that the deaf can socialize and develop their intellectual abilities, the government and private conduct of special education services. Of these efforts is the provision of special education services so the deaf can get the lessons they need in the community and socialize with the skills that their future will bring. For example, IPS subjects gave their knowledge about the condition of society and lingkunganya, as well as other subjects which have their usefulness. Problems of this study is whether the constraints in the process of learning social studies to students with hearing impairment, while the objective being to determine the IPS constraints in the learning process in students with hearing impairment.The results showed that in general the obstacles encountered in planning student learning is the ability of different, and the difficulty in finding sources of materials, as well as with the class teacher system causes less focus on teacher planning. Meanwhile, the constraints in the implementation of student learning is the concept of the word is not good, lack of learning resources and learning tools, the process of understanding a word that is uneven so take the media to visualize the material and the constraints in the evaluation of learning is a relatively short time, the lack of supporting facilities and lack concepts students have said.
