PERSEPSI MASYARAKAT PENAMBANG TRADISIONAL TERHADAP SUMBER DAYA MINYAK BUMI DI KAWASAN CEPU

Abstract

 

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi masyarakat penambang tradisional terhadap sumber daya minyak bumi dan dampak penambangan tradisional terhadap kualitas air tanah. Keterlibatan masyarakat dalam pengelolaan tambang minyak kawasan Cepu, terutama di Desa Ledok, disebabkan produksi Pertamina dinilai tidak ekonomis. Penambangan tradisional juga mengakibatkan dampak negatif terhadap kualitas air disebabkan oleh residu penambangan. Hasil Penelitian menggambarkan bahwa sebelum adanya penambangan tradisional, masyarakat Desa Ledok cenderung mempertahankan tradisi budayanya. Cara pandang dan pola kehidupan mereka menyesuaikan kondisi sosial budaya dan lingkungan alam. Setelah sumber daya minyak milik Pertamina dikelola secara tradisional masyarakat ikut terlibat di dalamnya. Proses produksi dilakukan secara gotong royong baik tenaga maupun modal. Kegiatan ini memberikan penghasilan kepada para penambang minimal Rp 350.000 setiap bulan. Kegiatan penambangan minyak tradisional juga menimbulkan pencemaran pada sumur penduduk yang jaraknya dekat dengan sungai. Pencemaran tersebut terlihat dari air sumur yang berbau, berasa, dan berwarna keruh serta nilai TDS, DO, BOD, dan COD air yang melebihi ambang batas pencemaran.

This study aims to know the public perception of the traditional miners  about petroleum resources and the impact of traditional mining towards the groundwater quality. Community involvement in the management of the Cepu oil fields, especially in the village of Ledok, caused by the production of Pertamina which not economically. Traditional mining also caused a negative impact on water quality, as residues mining. Research result explains that before the traditional mining, Ledok society tend their cultural traditions. Perspective and life pattern accordance of sociocultural and natural environment. After Pertamina oil resources traditionally managed, community were involved in it. The production process is mutual cooperation with energy as well as financial. These activities provide income to the miners at least Rp 350.000 each month.Traditional oil mining activities also caused contamination the wells that were located close to the river. Contamination is evident from the well water smell, taste, and disturbed color and value of TDS, DO, BOD and COD exceed of the limit contamination.
