EFFECTIVENESS OF TRAINING ON LIFE SKILL AND CHEMO-ENTREPRENEURSHIP BASED CHEMISTRY LEARNING FOR SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL TEACHERS IN SEMARANG

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan model pelatihan desain keterampilan hidup dan pembelajaran berbasis CEP, (2) mengetahui efektivitas model pelatihan desain keterampilan hidup dan pembelajaran berbasis CEP. Penelitian ini menggunakan Penelitian dan Pengembangan (R & D) pendekatan dengan tahapan (1) melakukan studi pendahuluan, (2) merancang model pelatihan, (3) validasi model, (4) pengujian model, dan (5) menggambarkan
akhir model. Ada 30 guru kimia SMA sebagai subyek uji model pelatihan. Pengukuran efektifitas model yang meliputi variabel: (1) kemampuan peserta pelatihan untuk merancang belajar kimia sebelum dan setelah pelatihan, (2) kemampuan peserta pelatihan untuk menerapkan belajar kimia berdasarkan keterampilan hidup dan CEP, (3) trainee ‘tanggapan untuk pelaksanaan pelatihan dan keterampilan pelatih. Kriteria Efektivitas ditentukan dengan membangun
skala efektivitas berdasarkan hasil rata-rata pengukuran variabel. Teknik yang digunakan adalah pengumpulan data survey, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah kuesioner, lembar observasi, pedoman wawancara, dan penulis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan
bahwa model pelatihan desain keterampilan hidup dan pembelajaran kimia berbasis CEP adalah efektif untuk meningkatkan kualitas guru dalam melaksanakan  pembelajaran kimia. Dianjurkan untuk tim pelatihan penyedia bahwa model pelatihan dapat dikembangkan dalam skala yang lebih luas.


This research aims to develop the training model of design of life skill and CEP based learning; (2) investigate the effectiveness of the training model of design of life skill and CEP based learning. This research used Research and Development (R&D) approach with stages of (1) conducting a preliminary study; (2) designing a training model; (3)  validating the model; (4) testing the model; and (5) describing
the final model. There were 30 high school chemistry teachers as the subject of test of the training model. Measurement of the model effectiveness included the variables: (1) ability of the trainees to design a chemistry learning before and after the training; (2) ability of the trainees to apply the chemistry learning based on life skill and CEP; (3) trainees’ responses to the implementation of training and skills of trainers. Effectiveness criteria were determined by constructing a scale of effectiveness based on the average results of measurements of variables. The used techniques of data collection were surveys, interviews, and documentation. The used instruments were questionnaires, observation sheets, interview guidelines, and the author. The results showed that the training model of design of life skill and CEP based chemistry learning was effective to improve the quality of teachers in implementing the chemistry learning. It is
recommended for training providers team that this training model can be developed within a wider scale.
