Abstract

Cooperative Learning merupakan suatu model pembelajaran yang membantu mahasiswa dalam mengembangkan pemahaman dan sikapnya dengan mengaplikasikan suatu pembelajaran untuk mencapai tujuan bersama dalam memecahkan masalah. Sehingga model ini cocok jika diterapkan pada mata kuliah Pembelajaran IPS di program studi PGSD FKIP Universitas Muria Kudus. Penelitian ini bertujuan: 1) mengetahui pelaksanaan model Cooperative Learning dalam pembelajaran IPS SD. 2) mengkaji faktor-faktor apa saja yang mempengaruhi keberhasilan pelaksanaan model Cooperative Learning dalam pembelajaran IPS SD. 3) menganalisis cara mengoptimalkan pelaksanaan model Cooperative Learning dalam pembelajaran IPS SD.Metode yang digunakan adalah metode kualitatif, subyek penelitiannya mahasiswa semester V. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Untuk mengecek keabsahan data digunakan teknik triangulasi, analisis data menggunakan analisis interaksi. Hasil penelitian cukup baik, yaitu dalam pembelajaran model pengajaran team teaching yang harmonis dan dilakukan secara terencana, yaitu dimulai dengan perencanaan, pelaksanaan serta evaluasi/penilaian akhir. Pelaksanaan perkuliahan menggunakan model Cooperative Learning tipe Student Teams-Achievement Divisions (STAD) dan Jigsaw. Saran yang diajukan perlu optimalisasi pelaksanaan pembelajarannya dalam suasana keterbukaan, demokratis dan kolaboratif agar pemahaman pengetahuan, sikap dan keterampilan sosial mahasiswa bisa berkembang.

 

Cooperative Learning is a learning model which helps students in developing their understanding and applying knowledge to reach a shared goal in problem solving. This model could potentially be applied in social science program at the study program of elementary school teacher training (PGSD) of the Faculty of Education, Universitas Muria Kudus. This study aims to: 1) find out the implementation of Cooperative Learning model in social science learning process at elementary school, 2) examine the possible factors influencing the implementation of Cooperative Learning model in social science learning process at elementary school, 3) analyze the way to optimize the implementation of Cooperative Learning model in social science learning process at elementary school.This study employs qualitative method. Subject of the study is the 5th semester students. To collect the data, this study employed interview, observation and documentation. Triangulation is used to crosscheck the data validity. Interactional analysis was used to analyze the data. Results of the study reveal that team teaching started by planning, implementing, and evaluation. Learning process was carried out by Cooperative Learning model with Student Teams-Achievement Divisions (STAD) and Jigsaw. This study then suggested that learning process should be transparent, democratic, and collaborative so that students could develop their understanding, knowledge, attitude, and social skills.
