PENINGKATAN KUALITAS PEMBELAJARAN GEOMETRI BERBASIS DISCOVERY LEARNING MELALUI MODEL THINK PAIR SHARE
Abstract
Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu mendeskripsikan peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran geometri berbasis Discovery Learning melalui model Think Pair Share pada siswa kelas IVA SDN Wonosari 03 Semarang. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas dengan dua siklus, setiap siklus terdiri atas dua pertemuan. Setiap pertemuan terdiri atas empat tahap, yaitu perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian yaitu siswa dan guru kelas IVA SDN Wonosari 03 Semarang. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes dan non tes (observasi, catatan lapangan, dan dokumentasi). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) keterampilan guru meningkat setiap pertemuan berturut-turut dengan jumlah skor 46; 51; 53; 56, (2) aktivitas siswa meningkat setiap pertemuan berturut-turut dengan rata-rata 16,7; 19; 22,7; 24,4, (3) ketuntasan hasil belajar siswa meningkat setiap pertemuan berturut-turut yaitu rata-rata 59,09 persentase 67%; rata-rata 63,52 persentase 73%; rata-rata 70,45 persentase 81%; rata-rata 73,46 persentase 90%. Kesimpulan penelitian ini yaitu dengan pembelajaran berbasis Discovery Learning melalui model Think Pair Share dapat mendeskripsikan peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran geometri berbasis Discovery Learning melalui model Think Pair Share pada siswa kelas IVA SDN Wonosari 03 Semarang.
The purpose of the research was to describe an increase in the quality of learning geometry using Discovery Learning through Think Pair Share model in IVA grade students of SDN Wonosari 03 Semarang. The research was a classroom action research with two cycles. Each cycle consisted of two meetings. Each meeting consisted of four phases, including planning, implementation, observation and reflection. Research subjects were students and classroom teacher IVA grade in SDN Wonosari 03 Semarang. Data collection techniques used tests and non-test (observation, field notes, and documentation). The results showed that (1) teacher skills increased every consecutive meetings with the total score of 46, 51, 53, and 56; (2) student activity increased each consecutive meeting by an average of 16.7, 19, 22.7, and 24.4; (3) student mastery of learning result increased at each meeting in a row with an average of 59.09 with percentage of 67%, an average of 63.52 with percentage of 73%, an average of 70.45 with percentage of 81%; mean 73.46 average percentage of 90%. The conclusion of this research was Discovery Learning through Think Pair Share described the improvement of skills of teacher, student activities, and student learning result in learning geometry.
