HUBUNGAN ICE BREAKER DAN MOTIVASI BELAJAR SISWA DENGAN HASIL BELAJAR IPS

Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah data peringkat pendidikan wilayah ASEAN tahun 2017 menunjukkan bahwa kualitas pembelajaran di Indonesia menempati peringkat kelima dari sembilan negara. Berdasarkan data UNESCO terdapat 11% murid di Indonesia gagal menuntaskan pendidikan. Artinya kualitas pendidikan di Indonesia belum optimal karena disebabkan oleh berbagai faktor. Rendahnya kualitas pendidikan di Indonesia juga terjadi di SDN Gugus SDN Gugus Raden Said Kecamatan Dawe Kabupaten Kudus. Hasil belajar IPS siswa kelas IV masih tergolong rendah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji hubungan antara: (1) ice breaker dengan hasil belajar IPS; (2) motivasi belajar dengan hasil belajar IPS; (3) ice breaker dan motivasi belajar bersama- sama dengan hasil belajar IPS. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian korelasi dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 117 siswa diambil menggunakan teknik nonprobability sampling dengan cara sampel jenuh. Teknik pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini melalui angket, dokumentasi, dan wawancara. Uji coba instrumen dilakukan dengan uji validitas dan uji reliabilitas. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji prasyarat analisis data, analisis statistik deskriptif, analisis korelasi, dan analisis regresi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) terdapat hubungan positif ice breaker dengan hasil belajar IPS, koefisien korelasi menunjukkan adanya hubungan yang kuat dengan kontribusi sebesar 39,2%; (2) terdapat hubungan yang positif motivasi belajar dengan hasil belajar IPS, koefisien korelasi menunjukkan adanya hubungan yang kuat dengan kontribusi sebesar 51,1%; (3) terdapat hubungan ice breaker dan motivasi belajar secara bersama-sama dengan hasil belajar IPS koefisien korelasi menunjukkan adanya hubungan yang kuat dengan kontribusi sebesar 55,2%. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada hubungan yang positif antara ice breaker dan motivasi belajar dengan hasil belajar IPS siswa kelas IV SDN Gugus Raden Said Kecamatan Dawe Kabupaten Kudus.
The background of this research was regional education ranking data of ASEAN in 2017 shows that the quality of learning in Indonesia is ranked fifth from nine countries. Based on UNESCO data, 11% of students in Indonesia failed to complete education. It means that the quality of education in Indonesia has not been optimal because it was caused by various factors. The low quality of education in Indonesia also occurs in SDN Gugus SDN Gugus Raden Said District Dawe Kabupaten Kudus. Social studies’s learning outcomes of fourth grade students is still low. The goal of this research was to examine the correlation between: (1) ice breaker with social studies’s learning outcomes; (2) learning motivation with social studies’s learning outcomes; (3) ice breaker and learning motivation along with social studies’s learning outcomes. This research was a correlational research with quantitative approach. The samples of this research were 117 students by using saturated sampling. Data collection methods used in this research using questionnaires, observations, and documentation. Instrument test was conducted by validity test and reliability test. Data analysis used is prerequisite test, descriptive statistical analysis correlation test, and multiple regression test. The result showed that: (1) there was positive correlation ice breaker with social studies’s learning outcomes, coefficient correlation indicates a strong relationship with contribution of 39,2%; (2) there was positive correlation of learning motivation with social studies’s learning outcomes, coefficient correlation indicates a strong relationship with contribution of 51,1% ; (3) there was positive correlation between ice breaker and learning motivation with l social studies’s learning outcomes, coefficient correlation indicates a strong relationship with contribution of 55,2% . From the results it can be concluded that there was positive relationship between ice breaker and lenarning motivation with social studies’s learning outcomes of fourth grade students of Gugus Raden Said elementary school Dawe Distric Kudus Regency.
