MODEL DISCOVERY LEARNING UNTUK MENINGKATKAN KREATIVITAS SISWA DALAM MEMBUAT KARYA DEKORATIF

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) Mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan model Discovery learning; (2) Mendeskripsikan kreativitas siswa dalam membuat karya dekoratif; dan (3) Mendeskripsikan aktivitas belajar siswa. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, dan catatan lapangan. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 37 siswa. Teknik analisis data melalui reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Uji keabsahan data dengan triangulasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) Pelaksanaan model Discovery learning dalam kategori sangat baik. (2) Bentuk kreativitas yang tampak yaitu keluwesan, mempunyai daya imajinasi yang kuat, kerumitan motif hiasan, peka terhadap nilai estetik, kerapihan dan kebersihan, keorisinilan, kelancaran (fluency) dan keunikan termasuk dalam kategori baik. (3) Aktivitas belajar siswa termasuk dalam kategori baik. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa model Discovery learning dapat meningkatkan kreativitas membuat karya dekoratif siswa kelas III di SD Negeri Sampangan 02 Semarang.

Abstract
This study aims to (1) describe the implementation of discovery learning model; (2) describe students creativity in creating decorative products; and (3) describe students learning activities. This study employed a qualitative approach, and the data collection techniques were observation, interview, documentation, and field notes. The sample of this study was 37 students. The techniques of data analysis included data reduction, data presentation, and making inference. Testing the data validity was through triangulation. The result showed that: (1) The implementation of discovery learning model was in the excellent category. (2) The creativities observed in this study including flexibility, strong imagination, complexity of the decoration motives, sensitivity to aesthetic values, neatness and cleanliness, originality, fluency and uniqueness were in the good category. (3) Students learning activities were in the good category. Based on the result of the study, it is concluded that discovery learning model can enhance students’ creativity in creating decorative products in grade 3rd SD Negeri Sampangan 02 Semarang.
