Abstract
The background of this study was the less optimal of the learning model used by the teacher, so that the learning interest and outcomes of Indonesian language were low. This study aimed to test the effectiveness of song-assisted discovery learning model towards the learning interest and outcomes of Indonesian language on 1st grade students. The type of this study was quasi experimental design in the form of nonequivalent control group design. The data analysis technique used the T-test and N-Gain test. The learning outcomes also increased and could be seen from the > (4,35 > 2,06). ). The N-Gain also showed the learning outcomes in the experimental class was 60,92 (moderate). The conclusion of this study was that song-assisted discovery learning model were more effective towards the learning outcomes of Indonesian language on 1st grade students.
