Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to develop, test the feasibility and test the effectiveness of interactive multimedia articulate storylines based on discovery learning in the science content of the material "Changes in Forms of Energy and Alternative Energy Sources" at SDN 01 Wanayasa, Banjarnegara District. This type of research is development research (R&D). The development model used is the Borg & Gall Sugiyono model (2017: 298) with 8 research steps, namely: (1) potential and problems; (2) data collection; (3) product design; (4) design validation; (5) design revisions; (6) product trials; (7) design revisions; (8) trial use. The research subjects in the product trials, namely all fourth grade students at SDN 01 Wanayasa were selected based on the saturated sampling technique, namely 31 students. Data collection techniques used are tests, interviews, documentation, and questionnaires. The results of the study show that interactive multimedia articulate storyline based on discovery learning is very appropriate to use with a presentation feasibility percentage of media experts of 95%, and content feasibility by material experts of 91%. The effectiveness of the use of media is shown by the results of the average difference test using the t-test obtained by sig (2-tailed) = 2,000, so there is a significant difference between learning outcomes in the pretest and posttest data. The average rating (n-gain) of the pretest and posttest results was 0.57 in the moderate category. The conclusion of this study is that interactive multimedia articulate storyline based on discovery learning is effective and very suitable for use in science content for class IV SDN 01 Wanayasa, Banjarnegara Regency.
