Abstract
Skills improvement of composing exposition text use Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) learning model with clippings media on students of VII C class in Junior High School 2 Ambarawa. This research use classroom action research design was implemented in two cycles (cycle I and cycle II). The results of this study is increasing the learning process, spiritual attitudes, social attitudes, knowledge, and skills of the students in composing the exposition text use CIRC learning model with clippings media. Learning process improvement of composing exposition text use CIRC learning model with clippings media from the first cycle to the second cycle is equal to 13.73%, the increase was good to very good in the second cycle. Spiritual attitudes of students increased by 0.67%. From the average value of 2.82 predicated B- in the first cycle to 3.49 predicated B + on the second cycle. Increasing the value of the student social attitudes by 0.2%. In the first cycle are the average value of the students social attitudes at 3.35 predicated B + with well category to 3,55 predicated A- with excellent category in the second cycle, so the attitude of students experience towards positive change. Knowledge of students in composing exposition text use CIRC learning model with clippings media was increased. Average increased of the first cycle to the second cycle by 14.88 and classical completeness increased by 26.47%. Skills of the students in composing exposition text use CIRC learning model with clippings media was increased the average value of the student skills in composing exposition text from the first cycle to the second cycle by 10.62% and classical completeness increased by 35.29%.
