Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah: (1) mengetahui gambaran pelaksanaan layanan bimbingan kelompok pada SMK di Kabupaten Demak; (2) mengetahui tingkat pengambilan keputusan karir siswa di SMK Islam Nurul Hadi; (3) menghasilkan model bimbingan kelompok berbasis life skills dalam pengambilan keputusan karir siswa di SMK Kabupaten Demak;  (4) mengetahui keefektivan model bimbingan kelompok berbasis life skills dalam pengambilan keputusan karir siswa di SMK Islam Nurul Hadi. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian pengembangan (research and development). Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah 10 siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) layanan bimbingan kelompok sudah dilaksanakan pada SMK Swasta di Kabupaten Demak namun belum sesuai dengan ketentuan formal pelaksanaan layanan bimbingan kelompok sehingga efektivitas layanan belum tercapai secara optimal; (2) tingkat kemampuan dalam pengambilan keputusan karir siswa sebelum diberi perlakuan berada pada kategori sedang; (3) menghasilkan model bimbingan kelompok berbasis life skills dalam pengambilan keputusan karir, yang terdiri dari 10 komponen yaitu: rasional. Tujuan bimbingan kelompok berbasis life skills, target intervensi dan sasaran layanan, konselor dan kompetensi pendukungnya, anggota kelompok, materi, tahap pelaksanaan, sarana, evaluasi indikator keberhasilan, dan tindak lanjut; (4) hasil uji wilcoxon menunjukkan bahwa model bimbingan kelompok berbasis life skills efektif dalam pengambilan keputusan karir siswa.

The purposes of this study were to: (1) describe the implementation of group guidance services at Vocational Schools (SMK) in Demak regency. (2) Determine the level of students’ career decision at SMK Islam Nurul Hadi. (3) Create the life skills-based group guidance model on decision making of SMK students’ career in Demak regency. (4) Determine the effectiveness of this model at SMK Islam Nurul Hadi.This study used Research and Development (R&D) method. The subject were 10 students. The results showed that: (1) private vocational schools in Demak regency had implemented group guidance services but they had not meet the official implementation terms of guidance group services. Thus, the services had not reached maximum results. (2) The level of students’ career decision before treatment was in fair category. (3) the life skills-based group guidance model on decision making of SMK students’ career consisted of ten components such as rational, goals of skills-based group guidance, intervention and services targets, counselors and supporting competences, group members, materials, implementation stage, facilities, evaluation of indicators, and follow-up. (4) the model was effective to help the students to decide their own career decision.
