Abstrak

Pendidikan karakter tidak hanya terintegrasi dalam pelajaran, melainkan memerlukanstrategi khusus, salah satunya adalah melalui program bimbingan dan konseling. Model inimengembangkan sepuluh nilai karakter yaitu toleransi, jujur, disiplin, kerja keras, kreatif, mandiri, rasa ingin tahu, bersahabat/komunikatif, peduli sosial, dan tanggungjawab. Pengembangan model ini menggunakan metode Research and Development. Model yang telahtersusun divalidasi oleh validator ahli pendidikan karakter dan ahli program bimbingan dankonseling. Uji coba terbatas dilakukan melalui kegiatan focus group disscussion.  Simpulandalam penelitian ini adalah : program bimbingan dan konseling belum disusun berdasarkankebutuhan siswa, pelayanan yang dilakukan bersifat kuratif, tidak terstruktur dan sistematis.Model final program bimbingan dan konseling berbasis karakter terdiri dari (a) rasional, (b)komponen layanan (c) strategi pelayanan (d) manajemen bimbingan dan konseling, dan (e)akuntabilitas program. Saran dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh warga sekolah menciptakanlingkungan yang kondusif dan mendukung program bimbingan dan konseling berbasiskarakter di Sekolah Dasar.

Abstract

Character education is not only intergrated in lesson, but it needs special strategy such as guidance andcounseling program. This model developed ten characters of  values such as tolerance, honesty, discipline,hard working, creativity, independency, curiosity, friendly/communicative, social caring, and responsibility.Thismodel development used Researchand Development method. ModelfeasibilityTestwas conductedby the educational expertsof characters and the experts of  guidance and counseling program. Thelimited trial had been done through focus group discussion. The conclusion of   this research is guidanceand counseling program has not arranged yet based on students need, the service performed curative, notstructured and systematic. The final model of  guidance and counseling based character consist of  (a)rational, (b) service component, (c) service strategy,  (d) guidance and counseling management, and (e)accountable program. The suggestion is all school community create conducive environment and support guidance and counseling program based character in primary school.
