Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menguji keefektifan penggunaan metode parafrase dan metode inkuiri dalam pembelajaran apresiasi puisi berdasarkan minat baca peserta didik SMK. Mengapresiasi puisi membutuhkan proses pemahaman terhadap teks puisi yang dibacanya. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kuasi eksperimen. sampel penelitian ini yaitu kemampuan mengapresiasi puisi peserta didik kelas XII SMK Negeri 1 Manonjaya dan SMK Nurul Wafa tahun ajaran 2016/2017. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan nilai rata-rata postes dengan menggunakan metode parafrase lebih besar daripada hasil postes dengan menggunakan metode inkuiri yaitu 81,81>79,81. Pada peserta didik yang memiliki minat baca tinggi metode parafrase lebih efektif digunakan daripada metode inkuiri, yaitu 82,4>78,64. Pada peserta didik yang memiliki minat baca rendah, metode inkuiri lebih efektif daripada metode parafrase yaitu 81,17>80,8. Hal ini membuktikan bahwa ada persinggungan antara metode  parafrase, metode inkuiri dan minat baca peserta didik

The Purpose of this research is to test for effectiveness using paraphrase method and inkuiri method within learning poetry appreciation base on reading proclivity the members of vocational high school. This research used kind of quasi experiment. The sample of this research was an ability to appreciate the poetry of the twelve grades students of SMKN 1 Manonjaya and SMK NurulWafa in the  academic year of 2016/2017 the posttest average score used paraphrase method is bigger than the result of the posttest average score used inquiry method was 81,81>79,81. The students who have high reading interest in, the paraphrase method was more effective than inquiry method, that is 82,4< 78,64. The students who have low reading interest in, the inquiry method was more effective than paraphrase method, that is 81,17>80,8. It proved that there are relationship among paraphrase method, inquiry method, and the students’ reading interest in.
