Abstract

Kecelakaan bus sering terjadi di Indonesia. Penyebab kecelakaan didominasi karena faktor human error, yang tercermin dalam perilaku berbahaya dalam mengemudikan bus. Dibutuhkan pengaturan perilaku para sopir bus dalam menjalankan pekerjaanya untuk menghindari perilaku yang membahayakan keselamatan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara self regulated behavior dengan unsafe behavior pada sopir bus di kota Semarang. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif korelasional. Populasi penelitian ini adalah sopir bus yang berada di terminal Terboyo dan Mangkang Semarang, dengan sampel berjumlah 70 subyek. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah sampling insidental, yaitu teknik penentuan sampel berdasarkan kebetulan, siapa saja yang yang secara kebetulan atau insidental bertemu dengan peneliti dapat digunakan sebagai sampel, bila dipandang orang yang secara kebetulan ditemui itu cocok sebagai sumber data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan negatif antara self regulated behavior dengan unsafe behavior. Subyek mampu mengatur perilakunya saat bekerja, sehingga menghindari perilaku berbahaya. Diharapkan para sopir bus lebih menyadari peran dan tanggung jawabnya sebagai seorang pengemudi yang sangat mempengaruhi terjadinya kecelakaan atau keselamatan perjalanan.

 

Buses traffic accident often happened in all area of Indonesia. The cause of the accidents are dominated by human error; it is illustrated by unsafe behavior while driving. To avoid the unsafe behavior, it needs regulation to regulate the behavior of bus driver while they are working. The goal of this research is to discover the relation between self regulated behavior and unsafe behavior among the bus drivers in Semarang. This is a correlation quantitative research. Population of this research is the bus drivers in Terboyo and Mangkang bus station Semarang, the number of samples is 70 subjects. It is used incidental sampling technique, technique to determine the sample incidentally, to anyone incidentally meet with the researcher can be used as a sample, if the person is really suitable for the source of data. The result of this research shows that there is negative correlation between self regulated behavior and unsafe behavior. The subject is able to regulate the behavior while they are working, then it can avoid the unsafe behavior. The bus driver should have to realize their role and responsibility as drivers which affects the accident happen or the safety of the travelling.
