Abstract

Lentog Tanjung is a traditional culinary dish from Tanjungkarang Village, Kudus Regency, which has fascinating historical and oral tradition (folklore/folk tales) values to explore. This culinary dish not only reflects the community's identity but has also become part of a collective memory that is important to preserve. However, modernization and lifestyle changes cause this tradition to be potentially forgotten by the younger generation. This community service aims to strengthen the collective memory of the Tanjungkarang Village community towards the oral tradition of Lentog Tanjung through a digitalization approach as an effort to preserve intangible cultural heritage. The method used is descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques in the form of in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation studies. The community service was carried out in seven stages: preliminary study, digitalization of materials, creation of digital platforms, dissemination, and evaluation and monitoring. This used digital technology to document the oral tradition of Lentog Tanjung through videos, audio recordings, website-based digital platforms, and comics. The results show that the digitalization of oral tradition can strengthen the community's connection to their cultural heritage, especially for the younger generation. Another important finding is the increased public awareness of the importance of preserving local traditions through modern technology. Digitalization has proven effective and promising in documenting and disseminating the oral tradition of Lentog Tanjung, thus extending the life of this tradition amid globalization. This research contributes to developing local culture preservation strategies through innovative technology-based approaches.
