Abstract

This study aims to determine the feasibility of headpiece products made from shell waste combined with monel for modern bridal accessories using a Research and Development (R&D) approach with the ADDIE model. The product was declared highly feasible for use as a modern bridal accessory, based on sensory testing assessed by three expert panelists (two beauty education lecturers and one makeup artist), showing an average score of 88.3% in the "very good" category, proving that the product has visual and physical quality that meets professional standards. Preference testing assessed by 15 respondents (beauty education students, class of 2021) showed an average score of 88%, also in the "very good" category, indicating that the product was very well received and liked by potential users or consumers. Thus, this product not only meets technical and aesthetic standards with its unique design, high aesthetic value, strength, and comfort in use, but also possesses strong consumer appeal, making it a promising choice in the modern bridal accessories market while supporting the utilization of shell waste as a high-value, eco-friendly material for accessory production.
