PERANCANGAN BODY PAINTING OMBAK LAUT DENGAN TEMA PENYU HIJAU KALIMANTAN

Abstract

The design of Ocean Wave Body Painting with the Theme of the Kalimantan Green Turtle aims to produce a fantasy makeup artwork that highlights the beauty of Kalimantan's marine ecosystem while promoting awareness of green turtle (Chelonia mydas) conservation. The design process employed the ADDIE development model, consisting of the stages of Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The artwork was created using full body painting, combined with face painting, manual painting techniques, and three-dimensional prosthetics made from latex and EVA foam to represent the characteristics of the green turtle and ocean waves. The product feasibility was evaluated using validated and reliable assessment instruments and reviewed by 32 validators. The evaluation results showed that the artwork achieved a feasibility score of 87.73%, categorized as highly valid, indicating that it is suitable for use without revision. Besides its aesthetic value, the artwork serves as an educational medium and a visual campaign to raise public awareness of green turtle conservation and the preservation of Kalimantan's marine ecosystem. The final product is expected to serve as a reference for beauty students, makeup artists, and creative industry practitioners in developing innovative, communicative, and educational fantasy makeup designs.
