Tahapan Pemusnahan Arsip Tahun 2025 dalam Rangka Studi Pengelolaan Arsip di Dinas Sosial Kota Salatiga

Abstract

Dynamic archive management in government agencies plays a crucial role in ensuring orderly administration, accountability, and transparency in government administration. This study aims to analyze the archive destruction procedures planned for 2025 and implemented in 2026 at the Salatiga City Social Service. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with document study techniques on various legal and administrative documents related to the archive destruction process. The documents analyzed include the Decree of the Head of the Social Service, the Decree of the Mayor of Salatiga, a letter of request for delegation of personnel across agencies, and the List of Proposed Destruction Archives (DAUM) which contains more than a thousand documents from 2002 to 2019. This study analyzes the implementation of twelve stages of archive destruction based on the Regulation of the Mayor of Salatiga Number 16 of 2019 which is a derivative of the Regulation of the Head of the National Archives of the Republic of Indonesia Number 37 of 2016. The results of the study show that the Social Service of Salatiga City has implemented archive destruction procedures systematically through (1) Formation of an Archive Assessment Committee (2) Formation of an Archive Destruction Team (3) Implementation of the Archive Destruction Team involving (1) Supervisory elements from the Inspectorate of Salatiga City, (2) Agency elements from the Legal Section of the Regional Secretariat of Salatiga City, (3) Technical elements from the Library and Archives Service of Salatiga City. The implementation of archive destruction not only addresses the limitations of archive storage space, but also reduces legal risks resulting from storing documents that have exceeded the retention period and supports more effective archive management within the Salatiga City local government.
