Abstract

The development of digital technology has facilitated public access to information, financial services, and online transactions, but it has also increased the risk of online fraud. This community service activity was attended by 32 residents (both men and women) of RT 2 RW 3, Ngesrep Hamlet, Bendungan Village, who were not yet familiar with modern online scam tactics. The purpose of this service was to strengthen digital security literacy by introducing online scam methods, prevention strategies, and reporting mechanisms. The program employed an educational and participatory approach consisting of three stages: preparation, material delivery, and evaluation through discussions and question-and-answer sessions. The educational materials covered five categories of online fraud: malicious links and files; personal data and account theft; financial fraud and loan scams; the misuse of artificial intelligence (AI) through deepfakes and voice cloning; and social engineering in buying and selling transactions. Participants also received information on preventive measures, including avoiding suspicious application files, keeping personal identification numbers (PINs) and one-time passwords (OTPs) confidential, verifying identities before making transfers, and securing digital accounts. In addition, the materials covered initial steps to take when experiencing online fraud, evidence preservation, and official reporting channels, such as the Indonesia Anti-Scam Center (IASC), Patroli Siber, and aduankonten.id. This program served as an educational initiative to help raise awareness among the residents of Bendungan Village about the risks of online fraud and the importance of adopting safer digital practices.
