Gerkasih (Clean and Healthy School Children Movement) and Lisa (See Trash, Pick It Up) initiatives to improve Clean and Healthy Living Behaviors (PHBS) among elementary school students in Gugus Tjitro Soewirjo. The background of this study highlights the low practice of PHBS in elementary schools, as reflected in students’ daily habits in maintaining personal and environmental cleanliness.
The research subjects were fourth-grade students at SDN 01 Jojogan, Pacitan Regency. The study employed a Research and Development (R&D) method using the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The analysis stage identified teacher and student needs, reviewed relevant literature, and conducted initial observations of school conditions. The design stage included preparing modules, learning media, and program implementation plans. The development stage involved expert validation of the program’s materials and media. Program implementation was carried out through integrated UKS activities based on Gerkasih and Lisa. The evaluation stage measured the achievement of the program objectives.
Expert validation results indicated that the program was highly feasible in terms of material completeness, language clarity, and media attractiveness. Students and teachers responded positively to the activities, such as handwashing with soap, classroom cleaning duties, waste management, and morning exercises. The study concludes that the UKS program based on Gerkasih and Lisa is feasible to improve PHBS in elementary school students and can serve as an innovative school culture-based model that is easy to implement.
