Analysis Factors Associated with The Level of Anxiety Among Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus Patients (Case Study in Ngaliyan District, Semarang City)

Abstract

DM Cases with a prevalence of 2.5%. Preliminary study on December 15 2023 in 4 districts in  Semarang City with the highest DM cases involving 111 respondents with anxiety levels of West  Semarang District (44%), Pedurungan District (48.3%), Tembalang District (48.4%), Ngaliyan District  (53.8). This research uses quantitative methods that are descriptive and analytical in nature with a  cross-sectional research design. The total population is 3.545 sufferers of type 2 DM. The total sample  is 156 respondents taken using probability sampling, namely simple random sampling using the  Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale questionnaire. The results showed that the variables Factors associated with anxiety levels in type 2 DM  sufferers are age, gender, employment status, income, BMI, comorbidities, physical activity, length of  suffering from type 2 DM, status of complications of type 2 DM, and family support.
