Implikasi Pemberdayaan Masyarakat Melalui Pemanfaatan Minyak Jelantah sebagai Fondamen Produksi Lilin Aromaterapi Menjadi Alternatif Kontinuitas Usaha Bagi UMKM di Desa Kadirejo

Abstract

Community economic empowerment in Kadirejo Village is carried out through training in processing used cooking oil into aromatherapy candles which aims to reduce the environmental impact of used cooking oil pollution and improve skills in making products with high economic value. Aromatherapy Candles were chosen because they have a wide market potential and can increase awareness of the negative impacts of used cooking oil on the body and the environment. The methods used in this training are direct socialization and compaction which are divided into several sessions, the participants managed to understand the importance of further processing of used cooking oil into products that have high selling value while reducing used cooking oil contamination. The implications of this program are seen in increasing public awareness of the negative impacts of used cooking oil and its use as aromatherapy candles as an alternative business so that it can improve family economic welfare. The results of the training show the importance of ongoing support and guidance to develop creativity and community economic independence.
