Abstract

This Social Community Services Program in Desa Troso Focuses on transforming bamboo root waste into
economically valuable briquettes generated by Bamboo Root Handicrafts MSME. Previously, this waste was left
unmanaged, contributing to air pollution and potential health risks. The primary goal of this initiative is to offer a
sustainable solution by transforming the waste into briquettes -an alternative, cost-effective, and eco-friendly fuel
source that also holds potential as a profitable side business. The program is carried out in three stages: preparation,
training, and evaluation. During the training sessions, MSME owners and local houswives were educated on the benefits
of briquettes, its busines opportunities, and the step-by-step process of producing briquettes from wood waste. The
results of the activity indicate that participants have a solid understanding of the briquettes making process and are
eager to leverage it as a business opportunity. Utilizing bamboo root waste not only helps reduce environmental
degradation but also creates new employment opportunities and enhances the economic well-being of the local
population. The student of UNNES GIAT 10 hopes that this initiative will inspire broader innovations in sustainable fuel
materials, particularly within Desa Troso.
