PEMBERDAYAAN MASYARAKAT DALAM PEMBUATAN ALAT PENANGKAP EMBUN MENJADI AIR BERSIH UNTUK DAERAH RAWAN KEKERINGAN DI KABUPATEN PEMALANG

Abstract

Drought is a problem experienced by the residents of Batursari Village, Pulosari District, Pemalang Regency. Drought in this village occurs for 5–8 months in a year, so residents are forced to buy water from other villages and sell their livestock to meet their clean water needs. The purpose of this activity is to provide education about dew catcher tools to turn dew into clean water as one solution to overcome drought. The methods used in this activity are lectures, demonstrations, direct practice, and mentoring. Based on the results of community service activities, dew catcher tools with iron frames and bamboo frames have been produced. Based on the results of the empowerment, there was an increase in knowledge about dew catcher tools to turn water. The average value before empowerment was 4.87 and after training was 7.27. The percentage increase in knowledge about dew catcher tools to turn water was 49%.
