Abstract

The problem at SD Negeri Bedug 01 regarding the need for more innovation in implementing learning models causes less than optimal learning outcomes in Indonesian language learning. The problem formulation in the research examines the implementation scheme of the Teams Games Tournament learning model and the effectiveness of its implementation. This research procedure uses a quantitative Quasi Experiment model. This quantitative research aims to determine the effectiveness of the Teams Games Tournament model assisted by word wall gamification. The research results show the effectiveness of learning based on the normality test results, which obtained sig values of 0.186 and 0.200 with the assumption that if the sig value is > 0.05, then the data is normally distributed. Then, the t-test showed that the mean pretest and post-test scores for the experimental class were 60 and 87 with a significant value of 0.00 < 0.05 with an average increase of 27%. In the control class the average pretest and posttest results were 57 and 76 with a significant value of 0.00 < 0.05. The average increase was 19%. Continuing with the N-gain test in the experimental class, it was 0.7, with an average difference of 27. It was in the high category, with an effectiveness level of 69,850, which was very effective. The control class was 0.47, with an average difference of 19 in the medium category and an effectiveness level of 46,762, which was less effective. The Teams Games Tournament model is recommended for elementary school students to use in learning to write compound sentences
