Children in Indonesia spend around 7-8 hours at school; therefore, comprehensive child safety protection at schools is needed, and one of them is done through implementing the Disaster Preparedness and Safety Schools (SSSB) program. The authors carried out prior research about developing the Disaster Preparedness and Safety Schools model. To complement the development of the SSSB program done in the previous study (the first stage), this research (the second stage) was carried out. This research aimed to develop key indicators and measuring tools for assessing teacher knowledge about child safety education to support the implementation of the SSSB program. This research applied a literature study and a mixed-method approach with a mixed exploratory sequential design. The analysis of key indicators of teacher knowledge about child safety education was done qualitatively and analyzed using content analysis techniques. The validity and reliability of the instrument were assessed quantitatively. The Cronbach’s Alpha value was 0.868, indicating that the measurement instrument is valid and has good reliability. These indicators are very important for building school resilience from multi-disaster risks in terms of teacher knowledge preparation.
