Abstract

As a very crucial aspect of service-based industy student-trainee competence, problem-solving ability of students needs to be enhanced by considering factors which affect the problem solving ability. This research is aimed to measure the effect of self-efficacy, collaborative skills and creative thinking skills on their ability to solve problem. While some former researches dealt with some aspects of these skills, there has not been comprehensive study merging these skills in the light of quantitative approach. The research is conducted quantitatively with the population of 30 employees of PT Dwidaya World Wide in West Jakarta who have just been trained in Travel Consultant Training. The primary data is collected by using questionnaires corresponding to each of the skills and then analysis done by using PLS-SEM method. The results showed that self-efficacy, cooperative skills, and creative thinking influenced positively to problem solving ability.
