KONSERVASI MATA AIR SENJOYO MELALUI PERAN SERTA MASYARAKAT DALAM MELESTARIKAN NILAI KEARIFAN LOKAL
Abstract
The goal of this research was to find out the condition of the springs, the role of the society in the springs conservation, values of local wisdom, as well as the inheritance of the values of local wisdom in the springs conservation. Design in this research used qualitative research. Technique of collecting data used interviews, observation, and documentation. Analysis of the data used descriptive qualitative. Data validity techniques used were triangulation. Results of this research showed that water springs condition was not affected by season. The role of the society and visitors in the form of behavior could be seen from the effort of the society to use water directly included the preservation and protection of water springs could be seen from behavior that did not damage the environment. However, the utilization was not done sustainably. The role of the society could not be separated with the local wisdom from religius system of Java society. Elements inherited in the form of value implicit in the norm, the adage “Sabeja-bejane wong kang lali, isih beja wong kang eling lan waspada”, dawuhan ceremonial customs, and the legend of Senjoyo spring. The transmission of local wisdom happend through the process of socialization and enculturation in informal education.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kondisi mata air, peran masyarakat dan pengunjung dalam melestarikan dan melakukan konservasi mata air, nilai-nilai kearifan lokal serta pelestarian nilai-nilai kearifan lokal dalam menjaga mata air atau konservasi mata air. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan deskripsi kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kondisi mata air tidak dipengaruhi oleh musim. Peran masyarakat dan pengunjung berupa prilaku terlihat dari upaya masyarakat memanfaatkan air secara langsung meliputi pengawetan dan perlindungan mata air terlihat dari prilaku yang tidak merusak lingkungan. Namun, pemanfaatan tidak dilakukan secara lestari. Peran masyarakat tidak dapat dipisahkan dari sistem religi masyarakat Jawa.Unsur yang diwariskan berupa nilai yang tersirat dalam norma, pepatah “sabeja-bejane wong kang lali, isih beja wong kang eling lan waspada”, adat istiadat upacara dawuhan, serta legenda Sendang Senjoyo. Pewarisan kearifan lokal terjadi melalui proses sosialisas dan enkulturasi pada pendidikan informal.
