Abstract

Tlogo Dringo is a Natural Reserve located in Pekasiran Village, Batur Sub-District, Banjarnegara District, Central Java. Observation showed that very few fauna were found in Tlogo Dringo Natural Reserve area due to the high activity of water utilization. This research aimed to know the diversity and abundance of plankton and water conditions of Tlogo Dringo. This research was a descriptive research. Plankton net 25 was used to collect plankton in nine observation stations, using sample composite method and depth variation method (30 cm and 6 m). The data obtained were analyzed descriptively for plankton types, plankton abundance, chemical physical parameters of water, index of diversity, index of dominance, and plankton uniformity index. The results showed that 24 types of plankton were found in Tlogo Dringo, namely 17 types of phytoplankton and 7 types of zooplankton with a total plankton abundance of 69,906 individuals/Liter. The chemical physical parameters of water support for plankton growth. There was no dominant plankton types in Tlogo Drigo
