Abstract

Pedagogical Content Knowledge (PCK) is a kind of spesific competency which is a combination of pedagogical and content knowledge and improved throughout times and experiences. This improvement can be achieved together with the learning process. The purpose of this research was to analyzed the PCK profile of prospective Biology teacher within FMIPA UNNES. The analysis was done descriptively with student of Microteaching course during second semester of 2016/2017 as the research subjects. The profile of the PCK was gained by using CoRe and PaPeR. The evaluation of CoRe and PaPeR showed that the frequently choosen Biology substances for Microteaching are the substances of 11th grade (58%), 10th grade (31%), and 12th grade (12%). The main idea to develop learning material was ranging from 3 to 5. The prospective Biology teacher has already been capable enough in teaching time management and learning strategy selection (85%). There was 62 % prospective teacher with appropriate perceptive among Biology concepts and only 38% with lack or even mistaken concept. 77% prospective teacher was having trouble in effectively handling the class. Most of them has not maximally used media, including in the creation of student and media interaction. It was concluded that the prospective teacher PCK was can be optimized in many aspect of pedadogic and content.
