pSX is an independent program so it does not have an installation wizard. Installation is easy: simply extract the zip file PSX. I'm not sure how to extract zip files? Here is a tutorial video that shows how: how to unzip files on Windows.

IMPORTANT! pSX should be placed in a shared folder on your computer. I recommend Documents, Downloads, or create a folder on the desktop. Placing pSX elsewhere in the main unit C then can be restricted to read-only access. This prevents PSX save anything.

To open the PSX, double-click the EXE file PSX

Q: I have an error d3dx9_26.dll missing!
A pSX opening for the first time, you may encounter an error "Missing d3dx9_26.dll". This is a file to assist with DirectX video capabilities. They are missing because certain versions of DirectX not included. I have this file to download just below.

d3dx9_26.dll installation wizard (14.7 MB)
Installation is fast and easy:

Remove all contents of the zip file and double click to open the installation DxSetup.exe.
Click Agree> Next> Next> Finish. That's!

Setting the keyboard or gamepad

Go to File> Settings.
In the configuration window, click the Drivers tab.
, You have access to the screen shown above. Click the button you want to reconfigure, and then press the key of the keyboard or gamepad you want to switch to.
Repeat the process to reconfigure all the buttons you want to change. Click OK when finished.

Loading a PSX ISO
To configure the BIOS, right? If you have not, do that first.
ISO downloaded from PlayStation 1 normally come in a ZIP, RAR, 7Z, or file ECM. The first step is to remove it. To remove a file RAR or 7z can use 7-Zip (free). To extract a file ECM view this video.
Using 7-Zip is easy. Simply click the RAR or 7z file and go to 7-Zip> Extract Here, as shown here.
PSX ISO - Once the ISO is extracted now take note of the file format ISO. pSX supports BIN / CUE, ISO, CCD, IMG, SUB, MDF, MDS, and CDZ. If your ISO is not in any of these formats, then you need to download the game from elsewhere to get in a compatible format.
Then we need to configure the memory card so you can save. You just need to do this once - you do not need to create a new memory card game. Go to File> Settings and click the tab memory cards.
, You have access to the screen below. Type a name for the memory card. Any name.
Creating a memory card
Click OK when finished.
Finally, you can load an ISO image. Go to File> Insert Picture CD.
You have access to the open window. By default, PSX open your wallet "cdimages". If you do not place your PlayStation 1 ISO there, navigate to the folder on your computer where you have them. Click the ISO file, then click Open - as shown here. That's! The game does not load at the moment; give it a minute.
