The Kmart product experts are calling the 'worst performing in years'

A Kmart heater has been labelled one of the 'worst performing' on the market in recent years by industry experts, as they concluded it failed to heat a room more than five degrees in an hour.

Consumer advocacy group Choice Australia tested 20 new heaters for winter this year and Kmart's $55 Anko 11 Fin Oil one was considered the worst with a 38 per cent success rate.

'It's pretty much a warm doorstop, you don't really want to buy it,' testing director Matthew Steen told A Kmart heater has been labelled one of the 'worst performing' on the market in recent years by industry experts
