A 20-year-old university student has discovered she will be gifted a fortune of $4.8million over the next two decades thanks to a huge lottery win.

The woman from Glenelg, south-west of Adelaide in South Australia, was in the middle of a lecture when she discovered she won first prize in Monday's Set for Life draw, which will see her paid $20,000 a month for the next 20 years.

She was over the moon when she heard the amazing news.

'This is huge for my family!

It changes everything for us. Holy moly. I can't think,' she said.

'I didn't think much of it, so I just logged into my account quickly and that's when I realised.'

The winner said she couldn't react to the windfall because she'd disrupt the lecture.
