High blood pressure BPS 5 Review is a common problem as we age, but this doesn't mean we should accept it as normal. Often known as "the silent killer", hypertension (high blood pressure) is why many folks don't live as long as they should expect. High blood pressure is due to constriction of the arteries making it more difficult for the heart to pump blood round the body. When the blood cannot flow freely to all parts of the body some tissues suffer from lack of oxygen which results in increased aging. In addition to accelerated aging, there can be issues of heart and kidney disease. Also strokes which may result in early death. With high blood pressure a vicious circle develops - the heart has to work harder to pump the blood around the body, and the resulting increased pressure causes further hardening of the arteries. This further hardening adds even more strain on the heart as it tries to maintain regular blood supply to all parts of the body. And so on .... Avoid the danger foods that can cause high blood pressure (such as salt, caffeine, sugar and refined grains) and you will improve your chances of living longer. Other important steps you can take to protect yourself from hypertension include reducing the stress in your life and getting enough regular sleep. Essential fats (polyunsaturated) and fish oils help maintain better health. Garlic also reduces blood pressure naturally. Exercise (in moderation) is a great way to lower blood pressure. There are many other benefits too - such as improved muscle tone, lower body fat, increased energy levels and generally a more positive outlook on life (which reduces stress). "TruRead" mode which is designed to accommodate 3 consecutive measurements taken at 1 minute intervals as is recommended by the American Heart Association (AHA), and then it automatically averages them out and displays the data. "Single Read" mode features advanced averaging of individual readings and will automatically display the averages of the last 3 readings taken within a 10 minute time frame.
