The recommended daily caloric Active Lean intake is usually on the range of 2000-2500 calories. For teenagers, it is suggested to take as much as 2500 calories daily because of the more strenuous lifestyle. Adult women are recommended to take in 1940-2000 calories and men 2000-2550 calories. It is not unsafe to take in more or less of these recommended daily intake. You should also take into consideration your way of life and every day routines. The more active you are, the more calories you will need. Even if you eat more, just get even by being more active so you can burn those calories.
