Abstract

This research is an effort to facilitate visualization and application of mathematical concepts by using Geogebra software. So that students can synergize their analytical skills and geometry. This study involved students who contracted differential calculus courses in even semester. The research method used is the development of ADDIE models (analyze, design, development, implementation, evaluation). The results of the initial ability observation show to the need for the ability to identify elements that were known and needed in solving problems according to the concept, so that this became one of the factors that made students difficult to represent the results into graphics / images. The results of this study are: 1) Suspicion of the need for the development of teaching materials is shown by the confusion of students in using existing teaching materials so as to show a negative interaction between students. Discovery Learning for understanding the concept of the results of student cognitive conflict can not be maximally produced. 2) In the results of the development of teaching materials, students feel that in drawing conclusions and arguments from the results of the proof, they can be helped by the representation of images and graphics that are carried out using Geogebra software. 3) Variations in student thinking in solving the problem of differential calculus are classified as less developed. 4) The development of teaching materials based on the results of analysis and response of students has reached a stage that is close to need, even though improvements are needed.
