NILAI PENDIDIKAN DALAM UPACARA TRADISI HAUL SEMANGKIN DI DESA MAYONG LOR KECAMATAN MAYONG KABUPATEN JEPARA

Abstract


Setiap tradisi tentunya memiliki makna, nilai, dan unsur indigenous yang terkandung didalamnya.Haul Semangkin merupakan tradisi asli masyarakat Mayong, Jepara yangmemiliki aneka ragam ritual yakni pentas seni, arak-arakan, tahlil, sesaji, dan wayangan.Ragam dan kekayaan ritual yang ada dalam Haul Semangkin menjadikannya menarikuntuk dikaji.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggali makna, fungsi, dan nilai pendidikandari tradisi Haul Semangkin.Data dikumpulkan melalui eksplorasi lapangan denganmetode wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi.Data hasil lapangan disajikanmenggunakan tehnik analisis kualitatif deskriptif.Hasil penelitian menunjukan adanyamakna, fungsi, dan nilai pendidikan yang khas dari rangkaian ritual yang ada dalam HaulSemangkin.Makna tertuang melalui simbol fisik dan non-fisik yang ada dalam ritual HaulSemangkin. Haul Semangkin memiliki fungsi untuk mewujudkan integritas sosial,perbaikan sosial, perwarisan norma sosial, serta pelestarian budaya dan hiburan. Adatiga nilai pendidikan yang tergali dari tradisi Haul Semangkin yaitu nilai pendidikanketuhanan, nilai pendidikan sosial, dan nilai pendidikan budi pekerti.

This study aimed to seek indigenous educational significance, function, and values from HaulSemankin tradition, which was originated from original tradition of Mayong society inJepara having various rituals such as art performances, marches, tahlil, offerings, andpuppet shows. Data were collected through field exploration by methods of interview,observation, and documentation. The field result data were presented by applyingdescriptive qualitative analysis technique. Result of the study showed that there werespecific educational significance, function, and values from series of rituals in HaulSemangkin. The significance was poured into physical and non-physical symbols existing onHaul Semangkin rituals. They had function to actualize social integrity, social improvement,social norm succession, as well as entertaining and cultural preservation. Three educationalvalues sought from this tradition were divine educational values, social educational values,and well-behaved educational values.
