PEMBELAJARAN MITIGASI BENCANA TANAH LONGSOR DENGAN METODE ROLE PLAYING BERBANTU BUKU SAKU EDUKASI BENCANA DI SMA NEGERI 11 SEMARANG

Abstract
The importance of disaster issues in Indonesia encourages the integration of disaster mitigation into the education system, for
instance, the inclusion of disaster mitigation as part of geography subject. However, the implementation of disaster mitigati on
learning still faces several obstacles. This study aimed to describe the implementation and to analyze the effectiveness of roleplaying learning methods assisted by disaster education pocketbook. This research conducted at SMAN 11 Semarang. The
sample of this study was the XI IPS 2 class as the experimental class and XI IPS 3 as the control class. The variable of this
research was the role-playing learning method assisted by disaster education pocketbook with sub-variables of teacher
performance, learning outcomes, and students’ response. The study found that implementation of the experimental and control
classes conducted by researchers obtained teacher performance scores of 89% (experimental class) and 86% (control class), both
of the values were very good. The comparasion of cognitive learning outcomes showed that disaster mitigation learning with the
role-playing method assisted by pocketbook on disaster education was more effective than learning with lecture and discussion
methods. Response questionnaire showed an average value of 82.7%, therefore the students were very interested in the learning.

Pentingnya permasalahan bencana di Indonesia mendorong pengintegrasian mitigasi bencana
dalam sistem pendidikan yang salah satu manifestasinya adalah masuknya mitigasi bencana
sebagai bagian dari mata pelajaran geografi. Namun, pelaksanaan pembelajaran mitigasi bencana
masih mengalami beberapa terkait pengembangan bahan ajar serta metode pembelajaran.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan dan menganalisis efektivitas metode
pembelajaran role playing berbantu buku saku edukasi bencana. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMAN
11 Semarang dengan sampel kelas XI IPS 2 sebagai kelas eksperimen dan XI IPS 3 sebagai kelas
kontrol. Variabel penelitian ini yaitu metode pembelajaran role playing berbantu buku saku edukasi
bencana dengan sub variabel kinerja guru, hasil belajar, dan tanggapan positif siswa. Penelitian
menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan pembelajaran kelas eksperimen dan kontrol yang dilaksanakan
peneliti memperoleh nilai kinerja guru sebesar 89 % (kelas eksperimen) dan 86 % (kelas kontrol)
yang kedua nilainya termasuk kriteria sangat baik. Perbandingan hasil belajar menunjukkan bahwa
pembelajaran mitigasi bencana dengan metode role playing berbantu buku saku edukasi bencana
lebih efektif dibandingkan pembelajaran dengan metode ceramah dan diskusi. Nilai rerata respon
siswa sebesar 82,7 %, sehingga disimpulkan bahwa pembelajaran mendapatkan respon positif dari
siswa.
