PERBEDAAN KUANTITAS DAN KUALITAS HASIL JAHITAN MESIN JAHIT MANUAL DAN HIGH SPEED

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji perbedaan kuantitas dan kualitas hasil jahitan pada mesin jahit manual dengan mesin jahit high speed serta mengetahui seberapa besar perbedaan penggunaan mesin jahit manual dengan mesin jahit high speed. Pengumpulan data penelitian eksperimen ini menggunakan instrumen tes pengukuran dan dokumentasi. Sampel ditentukan berdasarkan purposive sampling dan terpilih satu orang mahasiswa yang membuat sarung bantal kursi dengan 1 mesin jahit manual dan 1 mesin jahit high speed. Kuantitas hasil jahitan diukur waktu penyelesaian, sedangkan kualitas diukur dari kerapian hasil jahitanya seperti retsleting, tepi kain, lipit, serta menyambung bagian depan dengan bagian belakang. Hasil penelitian menunjukan ada perbedaan kualitas dan kuantitas hasil jahitan mesin jahit manual dengan mesin jahit high speed. Besarnya nilai perbedaan hasil produksi menggunakan mesin jahit manual dengan mesin jahit highspeed ditinjau dari beda mean sebesar 15. Penggunaan mesin jahit manual mempunyai karakteristik yang lebih familiar dibanding mesin jahit high speed, lebih mudah karena kecepatan gerak yang lebih lambat sehingga dapat mengimbangi kecepatan gerak mesin, meskipun secara kuantitas lebih lama.

This study aims to assess the differences in quantity and quality of the stitching on the manual sewing machine and high speed sewing machine and to know how much difference the use of manual sewing machine with high speed sewing machines. Data collected of this experimental study using measurement instruments and test documentation. Sample is determined based on purposive sampling and selected one student who made a pillowcase of chair with manual sewing machine and a high speed sewing machine. Quantity was measured by suture completion time, while the quality is measured from the neatness of the seams like a zipper, the edge of the fabric, pleated, and connect the front to the back. The results showed no difference in quality and quantity of stitching of manual sewing machines and a high speed sewing machine. The magnitude of the difference in production using a sewing machine manual sewing machine highspeed terms of the mean difference of 15. Manual sewing machine has the characteristics of more familiar than the high speed sewing machine. It’s easier than high speed sewing machine because it have lowerspeed.
