Keluhan Iritasi Mata Perenang di Kolam Renang

Abstract

Abstrak

Rekapitulasi kualitas air kolam renang di Kota Semarang pada tahun 2016 sebanyak 80% tidak sesuai baku mutu sisa klor. Survei pendahuluan menunjukkan ketidaksesuaian kualitas sisa klor dan pH dengan baku mutu serta 60% perenang mengalami keluhan iritasi mata. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada tahun 2018, tujuan penelitian ini mengetahui faktor yang berhubungan dengan keluhan iritasi mata perenang. Jenis penelitian ini adalah observasional analitik dengan desain penelitian cross sectional. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 106, ditentukan dengan teknik proportional random sampling. Data dianalisis uji chi square. Hasil menunjukan bahwa responden penelitian yang mengalami keluhan iritasi mata sebanyak 63,2% perenang. Hasil uji statistik menunjukan sisa klor (0,001), nilai pH (0,031), kacamata renang (0,0001), lama berenang (0,0001), dan gaya renang (0,0001) berhubungan dengan keluhan iritasi mata perenang. Simpulan penelitian ini variabel sisa klor, penggunaan kacamata renang, lama berenang dan gaya renang berhubungan dengan keluhan iritasi mata.

 Abstract

Recapitulation of water quality measurement in Semarang City in 2016 was 80% unsuitable with chlorine residual quality standard. The preliminary survey showed an inconsistency with the quality standards and pH of the swimming pool then 60% have complaints of eye irritation. This study was conducted in 2018, the purpose of this research was to determine factors related with symptoms of swimmer's eye irritation. This research was analytic observational with cross sectional research design. This research sample of this research was 106, used proportional random sampling technique. Data were analyzed by using chi square test. Results showed that the respondents who experienced eye irritation symptoms as much as 63.2% swimmers. Results of statistical test showed chlorine residue (0.001), pH value (0,031), swimming glasses (0.0001), duration swimming (0.0001), and swimming style (0.0001) related to swimmer's eye irritation symptoms. The conclusions of this study was chlorine residual variables, use of swimming goggles, length of swimming and swimming styles related to eye irritation symptoms.
