Laboratorium kimia merupakan tempat penelitian dan percobaan yang berpotensi menimbulkan suatu kecelakaan. Laboratorium Kimia memiliki jumlah kecelakaan yang tinggi dengan rata-rata 18 kasus per tahun. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui gambaran penilaian awal (baseline) penerapan SMK3 berdasarkan Peraturan Pemerintah Nomor 50 Tahun 2012 di Laboratorium Kimia Universitas Negeri Semarang.Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif. Instrumen penelitian ini menggunakan pedoman wawancara, lembar observasi dan lembar check list dokumen. Responden dalam penelitian ini adalah Kepala Laboratorium Kimia, Teknisi/Penanggung Jawab Laboratorium Kimia dan Admin Layanan.


Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 64 butir kriteria penerapan tingkat awal, kriteria yang tercapai sebesar 57,85% (37 kriteria) dan sebesar 42,15% (27 kriteria) belum terpenuhi. Simpulan dalam penelitian adalah penilaian (baseline) penerapan SMK3 termasuk dalam kategori penilaian kurang. Disarankan kepada Laboratorium Kimia UNNES untuk meningkatkan penerapan SMK3 pada kriteria yang belum sesuai.

Abstract


Chemical laboratory is a high risk place where scientific research and experiments may be performed. The average of accidents in chemical laboratory is 18 cases per year. The aim of this study is to figure out the preliminary assessment (baseline) of occupational safety and health management system based on Goverment Regulation Number 50 of 2012 at UNNES chemical laboratory. This was a descriptive quantitative study. The instruments used interview guidelines, observation sheets, and documentation check list. Respondents of this study were the head of chemical laboratory, technicians or person in charge of chemical laboratory, and the staff of administration service.


The results from 64 criteria showed that 57,58% (37 criteria) complied the regulation and 42,15% (27 criteria) did not comply the regulation. This study concluded that the preliminary assessment of occupational safety and health management system was categorized in low level. This study recommended UNNES chemical laboratory to increase the implementation of occupational safety and health management system especially for 27 criteria.
