Kejadian Dermatitis Kontak pada Pemulung

Abstract

ABSTRAK

Dermatitis kontak adalah dermatitis (peradangan kulit) yang disebabkan berkontaknya kulit dengan bahan-bahan dari luar, bahan-bahan tersebut dapat bersifat toksik.  Populasi penelitian ini adalah semua pemulung di TPA Blondo. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 23 kasus dan 23 kontrol. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan dermatitis kontak pada pemulung di TPA Blondo Kecamatan Bawen Kabupaten Semarang. Jenis penelitian ini adalah survei analitik dengan desain penelitian kasus kontrol (case control study). Analisis data dengan chi square test. Faktor yang berhubungan dengan kejadian dermatitis kontak yaitu: kebersihan kulit (p value=0,018), kebersihan tangan, kaki dan kuku (p value=0,008), pemakaian sarung tangan (p value=0,001), pemakaian sepatu boot (p value=0,039) dan riwayat pekerjaan (p value=0,037). Saran bagi pemulung di TPA Blondo lebih memperhatikan perilaku hidup bersih dengan cara menjaga kebersihan diri dan selalu menggunakan alat pelindung diri (APD) pada saat bekerja dan pemeliharaan APD secara rutin sehingga mengurangi risiko terkena dermatitis.

Contact dermatitis is dermatitis (inflammation of the skin) caused by the connotation of the skin with ingredients from the outside, the ingredients can be toxic. The population of this research is all scavenger in TPA Blondo. Research samples amounted to 23 cases and 23 controls. The purpose of this research is to know the factors related to contact dermatitis on the scavenger in TPA Blondo Bawen subdistrict of Semarang district. This type of research is an analytical survey with case control study design. Data analysis with Chi Square test. Factors related to the incidence of contact dermatitis are: skin hygiene (p value = 0,039), hygiene of hands, feet and nails (p value = 0,008), use of gloves (p value = 0.001), use of boot shoes (p value = 0,039) and job history (p value = 0.039). Advice for scavenger in TPA Blondo pay attention to the behavior of clean life by maintaining self-hygiene and always use personal protective equipment (PPE) during work and maintenance of PPE regularly, thus reducing the risk of dermatitis.
