AKTIVITAS BELAJAR SISWA DALAM METODE PROBLEM SOLVING PADA MATA PELAJARAN IPS DI SMP 2 KESESI KABUPATEN PEKALONGAN

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat aktivitas belajar siswa dalam metode problem solving dan mengetahui pembelajaran metode problem solving yang dilaksanakan oleh guru mata pelajaran IPS di SMP 2 Kesesi Kabupaten Pekalongan. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan metode observasi.Teknik analisis data yang dipilih adalah statistik deskriptif dengan menggunakan analisis frekuensi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa (1) aktivitas siswa pada metode problem solving secara keseluruah termasuk dalam kriteria aktif yang meliputi aktivitas menyadari masalah, merumuskan masalah, merumuskan hipotesis, mengumpulkan data, menguji hipotesis. Sedangkan pada aktivitas menyusun dan mempresentasikan laporan dikategorikan cukup aktif, karena hanya ada beberapa orang saja yang menyelesaikan laporan dan aktif berbicara, bahasa yang digunakan masih campuran, serta keberanian siswa saat bertanya jawab masih terlihat ragu-ragu. (2) Pembelajaran menggunakan metode problem solving yang dilaksanakan guru termasuk kategori baik karena guru sudah melaksanakan tiga tahap yaitu persiapan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Namun guru masih kurang kreatif dalam penggunaan media pembelajaran. Bagi guru sebaiknya lebih banyak menggunakan media pembelajaran seperti membuat power point slide dan mind mapping.


This research aims to understand the level of student learning activity in the method of problem and understand method problem solving learning of teacher on the subjects of social class in Junior High School 2 Kesesi Pekalongan District . Data collection technique that is used is a method of observation .Data analysis technique of the research is descriptive statistics with using analysis the frequency . The results showed that (1) the activity of the students on the methods of problem solving are included in the criteria they have actively covering the activities realized the problem, formulating problems, formulate a hypothesis, collect data, and test the hypothesis. Whereas, in the activity of drawing up and presenting the report categorized quite active, because there are only few people who completed the report and actively speak, the language is still in the mix, as well as the courage of the student when asked the answer still looks hesitant. (2) Learning use the method problem solving implemented teacher in the category of good because teacher have carry out three stages, namely preparation, the implementation, and evaluation. But the teacher is weak creative in media uses learning. For teacher should greater use of media learning such as making power point slide and mind mapping.
