Synthesis of Strontium Ferrite Nanocomposite - Ceramic as Dielectric Capacitor Based on Iron Sands

Ceramics materials from clay were widely applied as dielectric materials. Dielectrics were being vastly applied in the capacitor for functional electronic devices. In order to raise quality of ceramic dielectric materials, engineering of magnetic ceramics from ferrite is conducted that use strontium ferrite. Strontium ferrite is obtained by synthesize SrO and Fe3O4.Fe3O­4 which abundant in magnetic sands. Strontium has high permittivity that is used as filler in the ceramics for dielectric application. The composite ceramic samples are prepared by mix clay and strontium ferrite in the cup with mass ratios 0 : 20, 5 : 15, 10 : 10 and 15 : 5 then is added PVAC as binder. The next stage, the sample are printed and the curing process at 250°C along 2 hours then characterized by hydrolic pressure device, multimeter and SEM to study physical and electrical properties, and morphology structure. The samples show the increasing of strontium ferrite raise stress strength of the ceramic composites. The optimum capacitance is obtained when the amount of Strontium ferrite is 5 grams. The structure characterization shows decreasing of grain size particle in the sample as increasing of the amount of strontium ferrite. This structure result is similar to stress strength of the ceramic composite which more solid.
