Focus and Scope
JHE (Journal of Health Education) is a peer-reviewed journal for state-of-the-art research and scholarly article in all aspects of health education, with a particular emphasis on the Indonesian context and global perspective. It will publish original and empirical studies. The primary focus of this journal is connecting theories with practices, thus priority will be given to papers that have a strong theoretical basis and suitable methodology. The journal will accept articles on public health area with topics such as:
- Health Education : including formal health education, informal health education, community health education, health education needs, mental health education, health and nutrition education, and health and sex education.
- Health Promoting Schools : including research focused on media, design, and model to develop a healthy lifestyle, and conceptualizations of health literacy in different cultural contexts.
- Wellness and Physical Education : including physical education in schools as an effort to promote health and prevent non-communicable diseases, physical fitness to improve health and human wellbeing, as well as the quality of life of vulnerable communities.
- Health Policy and Program Evaluation : especially related to health education in schools and communities.
