Ketiadaan bahan ajar yang tepat menyebabkan rendahnya pemahaman peserta didik terhadap keterampilan menulis teks fiksi. Hal inilah yang melatarbelakangi penelitian ini. Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengembangkan buku panduan menulis teks fiksi, menguji kelayakan dan keefektifan buku panduan menulis teks fiksi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian dan pengembangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa buku panduan yang dikembangkan sesuai dengan kebutuhan guru dan siswa. Hasil uji kelayakan oleh ahli materi dan ahli media mendapatkan rata-rata 96,43% dan 86,11%. Sedangkan uji kelayakan oleh guru dan siswa mendapatkan rata-rata 91%  dan 86,22%. Hasil uji t-test menunjukkan penggunaan media pembelajaran buku panduan menulis teks fiksi efektif dengan skor sig. (2-tailed) p < 0,005 (0,000 < 0,005) maka Ho ditolak. Hasil uji n-gain sebelum dan sesudah pembelajaran diperoleh hasil 0,4377 dengan kriteria sedang, sehingga efektif digunakan untuk media pembelajaran. Simpulan peneliti dan efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran.


The absence of appropriate teaching content resulted on students low understanding of writing fictional text skills. This problem became the background in this research. The objectives of this research were to develop the guidebook for fiction writing, to evaluate the viability and effectiveness of the guidebook for fiction writing. This study used research and development (R & D) method. The results showed that the quide book were developed according to the needs of teacher and students. The results of the viability test by content expert and media expert got an average of 96.43% and 86.11%. Meanwhile, the viability test by teacher and students got an average of 91% and 86.22%. According to the results of the t-test showed that the guidebook instructional media for fiction text writing was effectively used with the sig score. (2-tailed) p <0.005 (0.000 <0.005), so, the Ho was rejected.. The results of the n-gain test obtained a score of 0.4377 with moderate criteria, so the guidebook was effectively used as a learning media. The conclusion of this research was that the guidebook for fiction writing  assisted  by serial pictures was viable  and effective to be used in learning.
