The sources and subjects of this study were teachers, assistant principal of academic affairs and curriculum, and tutor teachers. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Mix method analysis technique with descriptive qualitative and quantitative was used based on four components include data collection, data reduction, data presentation or display, concluding. The results of this study were: percentage of lesson plan conformity compiled by PJOK teachers was 92.78%, the percentage of conformity for learning implementation was 86.37%. Based on the analysis results, it could be concluded lesson plan compiled was categorized very good, learning implementation carried out in Junior High Schools Kediri was categorized very good, and the level of conformity of learning implementation with lesson plans had been done well.</p> 2019-07-31T04:29:31+00:00 ##submission.copyrightStatement## The Effect of Plyometric Training Method and Leg Flexibility toward Side Kick Speed on Male Fighter of Terlat Sakti Club Bengkulu 2019-07-31T04:29:33+00:00 Fitrotul Syahri Sulaiman Sulaiman Soegiyanto Soegiyanto <p>This research was motivated by lack of explosive power on male fighters of Pencak Silat Terlat Sakti Club Bengkulu, which resulted in the lack of maximum speed in doing a side kick. The purpose of this study was to find out and analyze: the differences in the influence of single-leg hurdle hop and single-leg bounding plyometric exercises towards the speed of side kick, the differences in the influence between fighters who have high and low leg flexibility towards the speed of side kick, and the interactions between plyometric exercises and leg flexibility towards the speed of side kick. This study uses an experimental design with a 2x2 factorial design. The data analysis technique uses Analysis of Variants (Anova) with a significance level (α) of 0.05. The independent variables of this study are the plyometric exercise. High and low leg flexibility considered as attribute variables and the dependent variable is the speed of side kick. The results of this study reveal that: there is a difference in the speed of the side kick on the fighter given in single-leg hurdle hop training with the fighter given in single leg bounding training, there is a difference in side kick speed on fighters who have high leg flexibility with fighters who have low leg flexibility. Thus, it can be concluded that plyometric exercises, as well as leg flexibility, significantly influence the side kick speed on male fighters of Pencak Silat Terlat Sakti Club Bengkulu.</p> 2019-07-31T04:29:33+00:00 ##submission.copyrightStatement## The Effect of Exercises and Gender on Cardiorespiratory Endurance in the Elderly 2019-08-08T08:04:35+00:00 Arif Prabowo Sulaiman Sulaiman Tommy Soenyoto <p>One of the appropriate sports for the elderly is elderly exercises. The exercises require low-impact movement but still can stimulate heart-lungs work, so it is suitable for the condition of the elderly. This study aims to analyze the effect of exercises and gender on cardiorespiratory endurance. This experimental research employed a 2x2 factorial design. There were 20 older adults from Keluarga Harapan Program selected as the sample, and the technique of data collection was purposive sampling. Subsequently, the sample was divided into four experimental groups. The technique of data analysis employed Two Way Anova. The results of the study are, first: Sang Surya and Lansia Bugar exercises affect the cardiorespiratory endurance (Fvalue = 17.308 &gt; Ftable = 3.59). Lansia Bugar exercise is better than Sang Surya exercise. Secondly, there is an effect of gender between male and female on the cardiorespiratory endurance (Fvalue = 56.077 &gt; Ftable = 3.59). Male older adults affected cardiorespiratory endurance more than the female. Thirdly, there is an interaction of exercises and gender on the cardiorespiratory endurance (Fvalue = 22.231 &gt; Ftable = 3.59). The conclusion of this study is exercises and gender affect cardiorespiratory endurance so that they can maintain the health and fitness of older adults.</p> 2019-08-08T08:04:35+00:00 ##submission.copyrightStatement## The Substitution of Physical Education with Sekolah Alam Student Scout Learning Activities as the Means of Strengthening Education based Character Building in Natural Elementary School Ar-Ridho Semarang 2019-08-12T03:09:48+00:00 Hijrah Maulidiah Afifah Sulaiman Sulaiman Donny Wira Yudha Kusuma <p>The current research attempts to study SASS standing for Natural Elementary School Student Scout learning activities covering the roles of SASS as the substituent of physical education, the reason underlying physical and sports education omission, SASS peculiarity in strengthening character building, character value taught in SASS, the participation of SASS in strengthening character building. It also aims at looking into the background of academic of the teachers involved in SASS, general issues in SASS such as planning, execution, and evaluation. It is qualitative research with case study research design; data analysis is conducted by using Nvivo 11 software. It is found that physical and sports education is not fully omitted; it is the part of SASS as a school under Jaringan Sekolah Alam Nusantara (a Nature School association in Indonesia). Natural Elementary School Ar-Ridho is mandated to hold SASS because it is the peculiar subject of a Nature School. SASS is the means to train students organizational skill as well as the means to build their character. There are five values of character taught in SASS, namely religiousness, nationalism, self-reliance, cooperation, integrity. Daily activity sheet handed out to the students is the concrete procedure of building students’ character. All the teachers involved in SASS coming from multidisciplinary backgrounds have obtained survival training programs. Generally, SASS is mostly similar to Physical education in term of planning, execution, and evaluation; the differences are in terms of the lesson plan, and mentoring session at the end of SASS class.</p> 2019-08-12T03:09:47+00:00 ##submission.copyrightStatement##
