Bagaimana Kepuasaan Masyarakat terhadap Penyelenggaraan Event Olahraga? Studi pada PON ke-XX Papua

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengungkap kepuasan masyarakat terhadap penyelenggaraan PON ke-XX di Papua. Sampel penelian adalah masyarakat yang menyaksikan atau datang di tempat pertandingan atau perlombaan PON XX Papua. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara accidental sampling dengan memadukan (blended) dua cara, yaitu online dan offline. Ketika calon responden bersedia menjadi sampel penelitian maka yang bersangkutan diminta untuk menulis biodata diri seperti nama, jenis kelamin, asal daerah, dan nomor handphone. Berdasarkan infromasi tersebut, enumerator kemudian mengirim pesan yang berisi tautan penelitian pada responden. Pengambilan data dilaksanakan mulai tanggal 4–30 Oktober 2021. Berdasarkan teknik tersebut, didapat 609 responden dengan usia minimum 15 tahun, maksimum 57 tahun (M = 24,01; SD = 6,72). Instrumen penelitian menggunakan Skala Kepuasan Penonton Olahraga (SKPO) yang terdiri dari 11 item dengan alternatif jawaban berbentuk skala likert, mulai dari sangat tidak puas (1) hingga sangat puas (5). Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif seperti nilai rata-rata dan persentase. Hasil penelitian menemukan sebanyak 68,23% responden menyatakan puas dengan penyelenggaraan PON XX di Papua, dan hanya 19,06% yang menyatakan tidak puas, sedangkan sisanya netral. Secara keseluruhan dapat disimpulkan bahwa masyarakat cenderung menilai penyelenggaraan PON ke-XX di Papua memuaskan
