Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: mendeskripsikan pelaksanaan bimbingan kelompok dan tingkat kecemasan komunikasi interpersonal siswa di SMP Negeri Pontianak, dihasilkannya model bimbingan kelompok dengan teknik self management untuk mengurangi kecemasan komunikasi interpersonal siswa SMP Negeri Pontianak, menguji keefektifan bimbingan kelompok dengan teknik self management untuk mengurangi kecemasan komunikasi interpersonal siswa. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian dan pengembangan. Teknik pengambilan sampel dengan cara purposive sampling. Hasil secara umum dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa model bimbingan kelompok dengan teknik self management efektif untuk mengurangi kecemasan komunikasi interpersonal siswa. Simpulan dari penelitian ini bahwa bimbingan kelompok dengan teknik self management secara periodik dapat membantu siswa mengurangi kecemasan komunikasi interpersonal sehingga kompetensinya dalam melaksanakan bimbingan kelompok menjadi optimal.

 

This study aims to describe the implementation of  group guidance and interpersonal communication apprehension level of students in State Junior High School Pontianak, produced Guidance Group Model  with self-management techniques to reduce students interpersonal communication apprehension in State Junior High School Pontianak, test the effectiveness of group guidance with self-management techniques to reduce students interpersonal communication apprehension in State 21 Junior High School Pontianak. The method used in this study was the Research and Development. This study population were students of class VII F State 21 Junior High School Pontianak amounting to 41 students and sampling techniques by purposive sampling with a total of 10 students. Generally results in this study showed that the model of group guidance with self management technique was effective for reducing interpersonal communication apprehension students. The levels of interpersonal communication apprehension students before given guidance group was 80.55% and after being given the group guidance decreased to 58.56%. Researcher suggest guidance and counseling teacher should conduct group guidance with self management techniques periodically to help students reduce interpersonal communication apprehension and should be able to fulfill its competence in conducting group guidance.
